How It Works

Create an account

Sign up on the PNR website using your Steam login — you only need to do this once.

Download the app

Download the PNR Companion app using the button above.

Link your account

Click "Generate Pairing Code" above, then enter the code in the companion app to securely link it to your account.

Race!

Register for events from the app, launch AMS2, and the overlay appears automatically.

Under the Hood

Curious how the AI swap detection actually works? Here's the short version — no engineering degree required.

Two Sets of Pedals

The app reads your real pedal inputs directly from your wheel hardware. At the same time, it reads what the game thinks is happening with the throttle and brake. When you're driving, both match up. When the AI takes over, your pedals go quiet but the game is still pressing the gas — that mismatch is the giveaway.

Pit Stop Only

The app only checks for driver swaps when your car is in the pits — either stopped in the pit box or driving out of it. This means lifting off the throttle mid-corner or coasting down a straight won't accidentally trigger a false detection.

3-Second Confirmation

A swap isn't flagged instantly. The app waits 3 seconds to make sure the AI has genuinely taken over before recording the swap. Quick blips — like resting your foot during a pit stop — are ignored.

Green Flag Timing

The human driving clock only starts when the race goes green, not during the formation lap. This keeps the timing fair and accurate for everyone.

Automatic Upload

When the race ends, the app packages up the swap data — who drove when and for how long — and sends it straight to PNR, linked to the event you registered for. No manual steps needed.

Fair Racing

Endurance events set a minimum AI driving time. If you don't hit it, the system knows. This keeps things fair for everyone and makes sure the AI assist rules are followed across the board.
